Spring Clean Your Marketing Strategy With Reach Marketing

Spring Clean Your Marketing Strategy

Spring cleaning doesn’t just mean your home! Have you considered refreshing your marketing strategy? Now is a great time to revitalise your strategy and test out some new content ideas. To remain relevant and up-to-date, and to ensure your brand is getting the best visibility and engagement possible, it is important to evaluate and change your strategy, as your business continues to grow.

This blog contains a spring cleaning ‘to-do list’ of the all things you should consider to refresh your marketing strategy and how to increase your brand’s visibility and engagement rates.

step 1: Declutter Your Strategy

First things first. Before you start planning ahead, you must look back. Consider the strategy that is currently in place. You need to look at what has worked well, and most importantly, what hasn’t worked well. This includes analysing metrics, campaign performance, looking at/asking for feedback where relevant. In terms of the software and platforms you use, are all of the channels you’re using, useful? Which channels are not driving results?

Having a clear understanding of your successes and areas for improvement, is essential to create a clear action plan to develop a new strategy.

step 2: Refresh Your Content & Branding

The next step is to refresh your content and branding. Make sure your website and social media channels are consistent in branding, messaging and visuals. Without coherence, your business runs the risk of looking out-of-date and unprofessional. It is difficult to sell a service or a product, if your own product doesn't come across very well. If you need inspiration, look at current trends or competitors in your sector, to get an idea of the type of content that is being created and shared.

Another way to refresh content is to repurpose old content! Content that performed really well, which is still relevant to your messaging and useful to your audience, can be repurposed with new graphics or visual styles. That being said, we know trends move fast! When repurposing content make sure it is still relevant and in-tune with the current media landscape.

Some ideas could be repurposing blog posts into social media posts, making reels from static posts, creating visual infographics from word-heavy/blog style information etc.

Don’t neglect the inside, too. Sure, your branding and visuals need to look consistent on the outside. But, you can also refresh your content by rethinking your SEO strategy and meta descriptions. These can be key ways to help your website and social content rank higher in search engines and increase its visibility.

step 3: Optimise for Efficiency

Now you’ve got your branding and content in line, it’s time to re-think your efficiency. Are you using the right email marketing tools? Do you benefit from the analytical software you use? Take some time to analyse the current platforms you use, and the results that you get from them. It may be worth doing some research into other platforms or softwares that top-performing businesses in your sector are using, and note why it is working well for them.

With the use of AI on the rise, we understand it can be an intimidating field to navigate. Understanding its benefits and the ways you can use it to streamline your business, could be really valuable to optimise your strategy for efficiency. The key to remember with AI is, it can be valuable to streamline tasks, prompt ideas or frameworks and aid admin work for your business, but it shouldn’t replace the creativity or key works that you produce. In fact, if you do this, search engines and social media know your content is written by AI, and pushes it further down on the algorithm, as it prefers organic content. The key takeaway is to be smart, not savvy, when implementing AI into your strategy.
